The AFCEA Trade Exhibition 2025 at the World Conference Center Bonn once again became the “Home of high-tech and the pursuit of resilience” this year.
Under the guiding theme “Turning Point in National Security – Resilience Through Disruptive Digital Solutions,” numerous experts from the German Armed Forces, politics, research, and industry came together to discuss technological responses to the security policy challenges of our time.
What made AFCEA 2025 so special?

Great response and strong participation: With visitor numbers rising again and over 250 exhibitors, it was clear how high the interest in digital solutions for defense and security is.

Focus on future technologies: From AI and cybersecurity to communication technologies and autonomous systems, the diversity of innovations reflected the current technological revolution.

Hands-on solutions: Many stands offered practical demonstrations and live presentations that promoted dialogue between suppliers and users—open, honest, and solution-oriented.
Resilience meets innovation
The focus of the trade fair was on resilience – understood as the ability to keep security-critical systems efficient and stable even in times of crisis. Digital resilience means designing processes, structures, and technologies in such a way that they remain robust, adaptive, and resistant to external influences.
AFCEA 2025 showed how industry, government, and research are working together to build precisely this future viability – whether through new AI-based systems, secure communication solutions, or strategic partnerships.
KENBUN was there – with strong momentum
We were also delighted to be on site and look back on two inspiring days.
We had numerous exciting conversations, many of which hold great potential for future collaborations – some of which may soon develop into concrete projects.
A particular highlight was the successful completion of a joint innovation project, which we have been working on intensively over the past six months. The feedback and interest we received during the trade fair confirm our vision and work.
We are now looking forward to the future and hope to see follow-up projects that set new standards—for greater efficiency, security, and digital resilience.
Impressive highlights
Keynotes & Panels: High-profile presentations and discussions underscored the importance of technological sovereignty and digital resilience in the context of security policy.
Innovative strength made visible: Young companies and established providers presented new approaches – from speech processing and sensor technology to secure data analysis.
Strong networks: AFCEA remains a melting pot for exchange, cooperation, and inspiration—and a platform where the future of defense technology continues to take shape.
